The volume of
Ukrainian IT-services exports in 2003 is estimated to be $70M. It has growth by
40% in comparison with 2002.
The country has been engaged in a partnership agreement with the European Union (EU) since 1998, and the two sides are currently considering a draft action plan which
Ukraine hopes will pave the way for eventual integration with the EU. Meanwhile, in September 2003,
Ukraine joined Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan in creating a "single economic area" designed to coordinate the countries' trade regulations and reduce tariffs.
